Port Work

Since the introduction of the Greater Lafourche Port Commission and Port Fourchon in 1960, Picciola & Associates, Inc., has been heavily involved with the development of this deepwater port. Picciola & Associates, Inc., has completed projects with the GLPC for site development including loading dock facilities, bulkheads, crane pads, tank foundations, buildings and intermodal roadway work.

Picciola & Associates, Inc.’s involvement includes design, management, inspection, and acquire all required permits for several expansion projects with the GLPC.

Picciola & Associates, Inc., has participated in commercial development for offshore oil service companies such as ASCO, Allison Marine, LLC, Bollinger Shipyards, Inc., Grand Isle Shipyards, Inc., Dolphin Services, Inc., Dolphin Energy Equipment, Inc., Hornbeck Offshore Services, LLC, Harvey Gulf International Marine, LLC, MI Drilling, LLC, Ocean Marine, LLC, Aker Marine Contractors, LLC, L&L Oil Company, Inc., Gulf Offshore Logistics, LLC and John W. Stone Oil Distributors, Inc. Projects related to commercial development have ranged from total site development for conceptual design to complete construction to design and management of buildings, fuel facilities, crane pads, tank foundations, and bulkheads at the GLPC’s Fourchon Facility.

Picciola & Associates, Inc., has also been heavily involved in development projects for the GLPC’s South Lafourche Leonard Miller Jr. Airport in Galliano. The projects for the airport have ranged from total site development for conceptual design to complete design and construction management of taxiways, air hangars, maintenance facilities, offices, bunkhouses and terminal buildings. Some of the airport development projects have been for ERA Aviations, Inc., Cougar Helicopters, Inc., and VIH Helicopters, USA, Inc.
